i already have a complete 5.3 with harness, computer and all the stuff to swap it in to my 02 v6 truck. i ran across a low mile ls1 thats also complete minus the accessorys. would it be worth delaying my build and buy the ls1? i already have the cam for my 5.3 and it will have bolt-ons and nitrous.
i have a feeling that the 5.3 will be plenty fast with all the stuff on it.
You already have the 5.3 why do you let me take that LS1! That way you won't even worry about it. :beerchug:

5.3s are terrible imo............:lol: i say stick with the 5.3.

5.3 sens you already have it you can pull tons of power out of it with just boltons and a cam and the botom end will hold like 18psi stock so its nice and solid
I think if your strictly goin for power then wait for the ls1. Theres a little more potential there but nothing huge. If I had a 5.3 in front of me I would go ahead and drop it in man, You wont be dissapointed
what smh sead its not a big enuf dif really inless you can get the ls1 for cheeper than you can sell the 5.3 is it an lm7 lm4 or l33 or what

I would swap in the ls1 instead of building the 5.3 if you can afford it. Much greater potential with the 5.7
i would say stock to stock the ls1 but i will be building the 5.3 so before long only thing that will be 5.3 will be the intake.Quote:
