Those plugs ARE NOT TO BE GAPPED. They are to be used as is out of the box. If one has a closed gap (visual inspection), take it back and exchange it. The 41-985 iridium plugs are replacements for the old school platinums and therefore have a different gap spec. Do not go by the gap on the label underhood. Not only are you running the wrong gap, you might have damaged the plugs.
MAF code could be caused by the mere increase in airflow due to cubic inches....but we need the code to know.
Misfire and knock sensor codes could be related. The new engine without a CKP relearn could be causing misfire and enough clatter to set a KS code....but we need the codes to know. Sound familiar?
You need a tune badly.
Just got back from a live tune with Dale. Motor runs great, and I love the power. To me it is fast, Dale was yawning in the passenger seat.:(
Thanks again Dale.
Your truck looks real nice. I would really like to see it run whenever you get it going. If you need help let me know, if anything it is a learning experience for me.
I plan on knocking the plugs down tomorrow if they look good.
