I'm wanting to swap my 4l60E for a 4l80E because I'm swapping in a lQ4 to my 98 2Dr Tahoe. Now I've heard alot of different answers and I don't want to need to mess around with driveshaft lengths...
Now is it possible to move the 80E to the stock 60E position? Are there any motor mounts that will allow me to accomplish this? Also, My Tahoe has Autotrac Is it possible to mate my existing T-Case to the 80E? Probably need to swap input shafts correct?
There's a different gear or something. Try a search because someone asked last week and there was a link posted by someone showing how to do the swap.

At one point I also thought about moving the entire engine forward. Came back to reality and just bought drive shafts. Yes the autotrac transfer case will swap out with modifications. Change the input shaft in it. Detailed in the thread posted.
How much farther back does the 80E sit? I'd honestly prefer moving the engine to new shafts.

I think I would leave the engine in the proper place and move the crossmember.
