Thoughts on ~28" tires on my truck?

So I'll be needing to get new tires here soon and while I'm at it I want to get some new wheels.

The plan would be 18x8, 255/50 (28.1") up front and 18x9.5, 295/45 (28.3") out back, do y'all think the tires would be big enough to be visually appealing?

For reference here is how my current 255/70/15 (29.1") tires look

I dont think it will be all too noticeable honestly. I would drop the back slightly more if you are worried about it not filling the fender well. Those wheels would look good.

Most sports require one ball, motocross requires two.

Racing isn't a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that.

Yep, if possible get 1" more out back and it'll look great.

Well bummer, I was wanting to keep the rake for the "RACE TRUCK" look...and I'd rather spend money on go fast goodies rather than a c notch

I can't find 29" tires wide enough for the rear wheels

Another possibility for the rear would be 285/60/18 (31.3") but I'd have to run a 255/60/18 (30") up front just so I don't have 2" of rake just from the tires alone

Not sure if I could clear 30" wheels up front...

I am running 315s in a 28.7" tire, and I would buy 9" wheels not 8". Running 275 in front, both tires are exact same height. Look at Nittos, they offer all kinds of sizes and if you are going 18s, they offer the 420s and the 05 between 28-29". I run the 05s, they are a damn good tire for the street, almost a DR, very sticky.

Right...but you have 20's, tire selection is a little different.

My rear wheels would be 9.5" wide the fronts are 8"

Found this in an old thread...I'm wondering if the tires alone gave him that rake or if his suspension also has a slight rake
