    ECM question

Hey guys it's been awhile since I've posted anything. I recently picked up a 2001 1500HD with the 6.0. The motor was bad but guy had bought another motor out of a 2002 2500HD. I put motor in and it runs good but is sluggish at times and isn't very responsive. My question is does ecm from the 2002 needed for the swap or am I ok with the ecm that was in truck from 2001?

Use the pcm that is in the truck.
Swapping for the same engine doesn't require a retune; so make sure all the sensors are reading, no codes, then scan data to ensure all readings are within spec.
Or it could just be that engine.

Thanks for the reply farmtruc. I also have a cold start issue that I can't figure out. I did sending unit, fuel filter, plugs, wires, fuel pressure regulator when i put motor in a month ago. But the last 2 days it's been 25 degrees in morning and it fires right up?
