Hey guys, I did some trouble shooting today and finally got that ugly hunk of junk on the dyno.
It pulled off 383hp/387tq. I'm not sure what to think of that. It sounds kind of low, but the 12.3 in the 1/4 was satisfying.
I thought torque would have been over 425 at least and I was hoping for over 400hp as well.

The HP shows it's pulling to 5500rpms. I checked all the hoses and connectors, everything is fine.
    Any input on these numbers?

I figure a 5.3L puts out about 240 to the wheels through a 60E, I would guess about 280 or so from a 6.0L, so it seems I only got about 100hp from the turbo, does that sound right?
I guess I'm just used to the LS1 f-bodys making a little more. Maybe the truck will come alive when I squeeze more boost into it!

    Later,

    allen

    Allen,
That sounds kinda low to me. Especially for a 60E, even with a 80E I would expect a little more. What turbo, what psi, is it did you get the intercooler yet? Out of curiousity, how much does your truck weigh? The 12.3 sounds like a decent time....

When I think back to Jerry's truck, I think he made quite a bit less hp, I wonder if that's what the low compression 6.0L with 5psi is making. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he made somewhere around 330hp, through an 80E. hmm oh well.

I'm hoping it comes alive with the 10psi and cam, we'll see. I'm not real big on dyno numbers, they don't mean much to me, but it would have been nice to have over 400hplol.
This is a superflow dyno (comparable to a mustang dyno) so I know the numbers are slightly lower. Add about 10% to these numbers for a dynojunk, I mean dynojet. The dyno has a button to simulate a dynojet, but I'm not going to fool myself, hahah.
I think my truck weighs somewhere around 3700lbs.

    thanks,

You just had to bet me by a tenth of a sec. didnt you .Thats it I'm getting Hptuners. JK. I'm glad you got it running good and I'd say with 10 psi and a good cam would get you in the mid 11's. Anyway good luck with your truck and oh yeah what was your MPH in the 1/4?

How is the turbo comparing to the Radix you had before? ETs and MPH? How much boost were you running with the Radix?

Never had a Radix, but I wouldn't mind having one, heheh. Acutally the whipple is looking good, right YellowSierra! Get that hpt and we'll get some nice logging on the truck and get you in the 11's. I know it's there.

I guess that is right, so I'm more than 30hp from what he got, I guess that is what the 80E takes up, but my tq is down. oh well. I bet Jerry can't run a 12.3 haha jk buddy!

I wonder what this is, there is a rattling noise in the exhaust somewhere, I wonder if it's the cat, I'm tearing off this weekend, wonder if that will help.

    thanks,

    allen

Bad cats would definitely limit your RPMs. I figured you tore those out a long time ago. There I go, figuring without my calculator in hand. No wonder I got all the wrong answers.

Numbers look good Allen . Your tq. might be low because of the 3.07 geared rearend.
