LM7 with LQ9 cam, P0300 CEL
I have been trying to track down a "Multiple Random Misfires" code P0300 since I got my truck a month ago, ignition is all new(does have upgraded Summit coils), MAF is cleaned, vacuum leak fixed, fuel filter new. Idle air control valve is in the mail. I really don't want to clean or replace the stock injectors because they will have zero use when I upgrade.
Everything I read says that an LQ9 cam in an LM7 should be fine, apparently GM even sold a crate motor with the setup. Does anyone have any experience otherwise? Any ideas before I have to throw the stock cam back in?
The truck threw the code before the cam because of the vacuum leak, I actually thought the leak was a big cam causing the code. I found the leak during the cam swap.
Any help is appreciated.
