    4.8L Project Horsepower - One step at a time

    Hey Guys,

    Got a truck here that might be of some interest to most of you.
    It's nothing radical, but it fits 80% of what you guys have.

    So far, we've dyno'd this truck. Results were typical, so we're starting with an average truck with no issues.
    The only mods done to the truck before this dyno; we installed a shiftkit and servo.

    Here are the stock dyno numbers: 229hp/224tq




    Posting soon:
    Results from Tune, then CAI.

    Next UP:
    Jon is installing a 220-112 cam and 918 springs and 7955 rods.
    We'll dyno it today.

    I thought you did this already and only got 9hp out of them...

    I did a comparison with shortys and longtubes, and it was a different cam, I'd like to see what the gains are with a bigger cam. See if lt's shine a little more.

    that dyno sheet is good to see. at 4k rpms its only about 15hp less then mine and about the same torque. very interesting
