Was able to get my Venom 2000 kit installed last weekend and it's sweet. I was doing low pressure runs in the linear mode. Increasing the shot after a short cool down and no problems. I increased the shot to 90 and switched to drag mode and it was very sweet. I was just doing test runs on a back road. I was able to move up to 135 shot and race an 2000 SS m6. I was able to almost stay up with the SS, but he said he was jacking around alittle. After that run I like the way it felt and preformed so up to 180 shot I went. I got behind a Z28 A4 same guy driving and was able to stay up much better. Had problems with trans not wanting to stay in one gear or another(downshifting). In the short distance we ran the trans jumped in and out twice before we slowed. The second time I tryed it with 3 people in the truck and it felt like a bounce in the trans. I have since backed down the shot I was running in drag mode.

what kind of gains did you see from the setup and why did you go with that kit, i know it has a lot of features.

I when with this kit because of the safety factory it is suppose to supply. I liked the thought of being able to change the setting from drag to linear mode. Drag mode you hit a set RPM and throttle press the gas and it drops the nitrous into the motor. The linear is suppose to feel like a turbo ( no whin). Program throttle and RPM and amount of nitrous and you are good to go. It has a third setting but I don't think I will use it. You set it to drop a specified amount of nitrous for a set time. I have the linear set on most of the time for running around time just in case for about 100 shot. I have the drag mode set up for 150 shot. I ran 180 but I talked to a friend and he said that the jets in the truck will handle a 150 shot but not 180 so I backed it down. They claim 10-175 horsepower gain. I need to get it on a dyno. I was thinking about making three pulls 2 on motor and the last on the bottle a see what a 100 shot in linear mode will do. If the linear does not work turn off and on and change to drag and try again with an extra 50 horsepower. I like the option of being able to change the way it works. I also got the palm pilot so I can reprogram the computer settings sitting in a parking lot. The drag mode you can feel hit and the linear not so much. A good thing is that it is a closed system and the computer needs to be on to work so all you need to do is keep the bottle open and turn the system on when needed from inside the truck.

thanks for the opinion, i was really considering that system if i ever get n20. i guess there is an option to shut the n20 down is you loose fuel pressure, and stuff like that, what about shutting n20 down if it detects other stuff?

    thanks,

I dyno the truck tonight. Two runs on nitrous and two on motor. On motor 239 / 310. On nitrous 291 / 311. Stock before mods 217 / 278. I was not real happy about the nitrous number. I did not like the way I had it programmed because the numbers were not there. I should of had an increase of 90 - 100 based on the setting if I got full power. I had it set on linear and to set at 3500 to start. The truck limiter are still factory and shuts down at 5500 so I have changed that.:haha: I am still happy with it but it can do better. I need to try in drag mode. I think the number would have been better to start with.
