Hey guys, while foggy was here we tested these wires over the stock wires.
The claim is up to 35hp over the stock wires on forced induction vehicles and about 15hp over NA engines.

Outside temps never changed, humidity was the same, intake air temp was a constant 78degs, oil and water temps stayed the same as well.

Result, absolutely no gain at all. The truck was ran several times with the aftermarket wires and gains ranged from -3 to +2hp over/under stock.

just an fyi, we'll be doing more comparisons throughout the year.

We didn't test that but I'm sure foggy can measure them and report back.
I can tell you right now, everything technically has resistance, so 0 ohms is almost impossible. I guess it depends on what range you have your meter set to, lol.

Not surprised by the results.
Keep up the good work, product testing saves us $$

Hey Allen, have you tried testing the MSD coils yet? I am interested to see if they have any gain at all with the stock dwell settings, or if they do better with more aggressive dwell settings. Just something to think about.

That's a good test, I can try the dwell change with stock coils on my Avalanche, never had it on the dyno with the turbo, I'd be curious to see what it laid down. Anyone want to donate some msd coils?

Well luckily I tested the resistance in the wires before I went to Tx, because they were stolen too.
The Granetelli wires measured 1.5 ohms of resistance. One was about 4.5 ohms of resistance.
The factory wires measured 700 - 800 ohms of resistance.

It sounds like the wires are better as far as resistance, however, the 800ohm stock wires aren't the bottle neck at that power level.

good info,

Read an article in GMHP and they tested the intakes on a Camaro with a "Locked" PCM, what exactly does that lock and do????
