Well Im makin a little progress. Changed the cam, and springs. Got the new wiring harness installed. Got the crossmember ready to mount. Drive shaft is ready just needs ujoints installed. Pedal got trimmed and is ready to mount. Basically I have a couple more little things and then Im ready to stab it and plug it in. Still waitin on my converter of course. Itll be here Tuesday.

    Problem:
I had to change the PS pulley that came on my motor because it was warped/bent. The new one refuses to go on. We broke O'reilly's puller kit tryin to get it back on then broke off two bolts in it tryin to get it on. I let it soak in PB so maybe itll be more cooperative next time.

Thunder Racing's cam tool is like $80. I got these for .79 each and worked perfect. I should have cut them shorter but I figured why bother.

is this an OBS war or can i bring my 08 CC?

im mounting everything on the drivers side fire wall an fender well. im oing to depin the OBDII connector, drill a 1/2" hole an use a rubber bushing to cushion the wiring then seal it on the inside. im hoping to get the tranny lines finished monday along with the wiring/oil/filter/tranny fluids/tranny cooler/AC bracket from Josh Powers has come out VERY nice. i didnt PC but it came out just fine

we need more pics of this build lol chop chop.

oh what exhaust are you running or did i miss that?
you should throw some 3:73s in that thing an i think youll be a lot happier

Yes, I am tryin to get it done as quickly as I can while I still have time. This week was spring break for me and I only worked three 12 hour shifts so I had a little time. I even skipped sleepin a couple days. I'm tryin to get it done quickly while not cutting corners.

Hell ya we can line em up and run whatcha brung. I think my truck will be fun to drive but I don't think itll be very fast.

I too am mounting everything on the drivers side fender. ECM, new fuse block, and relays will all be right there together. I'd like to make some sort of cover for it especially since the tuned ECM Nelson sent me was old, dirty, and grungy lookin.

I will try to take more pics. I was real camera happy when I first started but now I just wanna get it done lol.

I don't really want to spend a lot of money on exhaust right now so I think I'm just going to use the single in/dual out Flowmaster that was on it before with some 3 inch pipe. Dump it under the bed before the axle. I may change it later since it seems kind of a waste to run single exhaust behind long tube headers. I think next check I'm going to add an exlectric cutout to make it sound faster than it is lol.

    Ya I agree I will probably want 3.73s but I m
just scared of what it will do to my top end. I wanna be able to take it on road trips (hoping to make an appearance at the ls1truck shootout next year) and ride the interstate with ease. High up on the mod list is a TruTrac so when I do that I'll probably put in different gears

i would like to buy me a car hauler an pull my CC to a show an have my WT pull it. i think itd be ok since imma run 3:73/4:10s undecided.
your worried about top end as in how? 70+ pulls? or 1/4 mile? i thinkthe 3:73 would do fine behind an 80e an even if you run a 30" tire your top end will be fine. youd need more hp to run with FI guys but im strickly a bolt on truck an gonna stay N/A for a while.

if i can get 12.9 outta my CC with the 6.2 on DRs or ET streets ill be happy an move on to another project. 02 camaro with a 5.3/60e an a 3000 stall along with tall gears (its a DD not a track queen)

you should try an make the next PT.net meet depending where it is. a lot of guys go an have some badazz trucks/cars

Well when I said top end I was talkin bout road trips on the interstate. I wanna run relatively low rpm bout 70-80mph for gas mileage and comfort. I wanna be able to haul my bike to track comfortably.

I'm gonna try to make as many meets as I can but I'm usually really busy between schoolin days and workin nights with few days off. Plus, my truck needs paint/body/wheels/suspension work before it can really be presentable around truck guys lol.

$&@! -!@.;$ mother $&?"%# @/$?!!!!!!!!! Who the designed these motor mounts this way?!?!!! I thought, "Great, 3 bolts each and these are out". BULLSHIT. I got the bolts loose from one mount and after a million turns it's still in there!! I finally figures out that there is a nut on the inside! WHY THE DID THEY DO THAT?! I see no way to get to the nuts from the underside. I could cut them off but then how am I gonna get the new ones on? The mounts aren't even broken they are just a little worn out so I figured I would change them while the motor was out. I'm all out of magic tricks so if this is what it takes to change them then the old ones can just say in there. $&!##% SOS
