even with the filter off or with it on and people using ****, you don't see it all that often unlike some other sites, most of the active members on this site are smart enough and respectful enough to watch what they type. For a couple weeks after the meet I seen some new members that seemed to be getting under everybody's skin and now there gone. Anyway the point I'm trying to make is this site is pretty clean not squaky or hospital clean but pretty good (whether you mods are on the ball constantly or just a decent group of people) and the language thing shouldn't become a big deal.

Everything said, I'm proud to be a member of this site and refering new chevy folks to it and I never having to worry about what they may see here unlike some other sites. None that offends me but it is nice not to have to follow up with "make sure there are no kids around"

I think the cussing should definately be filtered out. My kids look at all of the sites I go to with me. I work with a few guys who can't get through a sentence without using the F word 3 or 4 times---It is their noun, pronoun, adjective---It is pathetic really. I once heard someone say that a foul mouth is a feeble mind trying to express itself.

The flip side is those that are all cussed out are now making it a lot harder on the mods to follow this infraction world we're in after a lot of irresponsible chatting and poor judgment in posting. That's worse. Been there, done that.

Stop writing bad words. It's easy. Speak as you will but type clean so that this machine works better.

I still won't give condoms to 6th graders or syringes to junkies.

BTW there has been a lot of S words posted by one (maybe two) people that are new here. For now I would suggest ALL people to read this stuff.

This whole infraction/language clause of the rules is taking it a little bit too far.

X2, but honestly when there is nothing else for the mods to do i guess they have to find something to pick on. (my .02)

I personally think its stupid, yes i use foul language from time to time, always have and always will. I am generally pretty good (although chit usually comes out quite abit, and i guess that'll be another infraction). Any and every other forum i'm on either has word filters or doesnt care. People are usually pretty decent with cussing IMO, and even around here i have no clue what has ever been so 'bad' other than this one night in the 'live chat' that i've been hearing about. Actually this site is probably one of the best i've been on as far as language goes, even before all this nonsense.

However this is not my forum, if this is the route they want to go, then so be it. People that dont like it are not forced to come here imo.
