BTW, The install looks great so far!!

Thanks for the comments..... it's taking me a little while to get this done but I'm working on it only on weekends and ensuring enough "family time". I'm also doing a few mods to the truck that are not related to the swap.. One thing I've got going for me is that there are no objections from my daughter for the time I'm spending on the truck.... you see, I'm driving her car while the conversion is in progress....

Update: Still chugging along on the swap, can't spend as much time as I'd like but y'all know how that goes....
Worked on it a little yesterday, mounted the PCM, lowered and finalized the mounting location for the radiator, and started running my primary wiring. (I've relocated my battery, and am adding an additonal starter solenoid) I found a few toasty wires in my lighting harness so I'll be replacing those also. After that I'll splice my engine harness into the truck. It's amazing how long this little stuff takes....
I'm hoping to spend some time on it this week in the evenings so I can do an open exhaust test run this weekend....
Still need to bring my coathanger and hose mockup to AutoZone and try to match up my radiator hoses (or my test run will be real short....)

There is a company that makes a universal copper radiator hose that you saw off to length and it had universal ends to fit your engine/radiator combination. You can buy the hose in various lengths plus it comes in numerous show finishes. About $75 a hose for about a 3 foot section, I believe.

$$ Ouch!

Hopefully I won't have to resort to that, but thanks for the suggestion..... What I'd like to find is some stock application that I can install with or without modification so that if I have a hose failure in the middle of nowhere I can easily get a replacement.... I'd also not like to spend $75.......

I hear you there. It's a nice show quality looking piece and you can bend it to your needs if you get desperate. I had a muffler shop build me one when I did my LT1 conversion because we couldn't find anything close to fitting the 1992 C1500/ 1993Corvette LT1 conversion.

Thanks Red. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some time behind the counter at at AutoZone looking at their wall of hoses and find something that will work. I did the same thing for my 95 LT1 - 68 Camaro swap and found some slick hoses that just needed a little trim to fit.

I bet your radiator inlet and outlet are the same as mine... Are you still using your old radiator or did you upgrade?.... If you still have your original rad, you wouldn't still have the part numbers from
AutoZone would ya? Or a pic of the hose job?

Thanks, Andy

I upgraded from the old radiator to the small NBS radiator. The OBS radiator is much smaller than the 28" NBS radiator. I still have the old one under the carport. It was in descent condition, but I decided to go with the NBS one since I had it.

I'll have to see if there's a part number for it. Last I remember, Autozone checked their system for my year model, and pulled out the radiator I needed (years ago). I'll have to check when I get home.

Don't bother, thanks. It wasn't the radiator I was looking for but the hoses to connect from the old radiator (that I thought you were using)....
