Yea but you will have to bypass the starter solenoid wire and you won't have back up lights. I need mine to work because my girl will be driving the truck as well and just my luck she doesn't put it in park and starts the truck up in reverse lol...

Why would I have to bypass the starter solenoid? and my reverse lights were useless anyways lol

The wire that runs to the solenoid is wired through the switch. So you will have to run a different wire to the solenoid

I have been doing some searching but i can't seem to find anything about how to wire the alternator and get the gauge to work.I have been following your project because in april i will be putting a 5.3 in place of my 383 carbed stroker in my 1992 chevy pickup reg cab 2wd 5 speed.Trying to get all the parts and all my ducks in a row before i start.Your build has been very helpful.

    Thanks Joe
