Want a Nasty sounding cam for 4.8.

I've already got 4.11 gears and a 2800-3000 stall. so what would be a good sounding cam.

I am guessin you dont just want a good sounding cam? you want good performance to I would hope...

I would look into something with around a 220 duration on a 112 LSA, Something like the TR/TSP220 or 224 both are proven cams and will sound good in the 4.8.. I wouldnt go any bigger than a 224 tho without a bigger converter..

Those are both good cams. The 220 is proven on the 4.8s and 5.3s

yeah. i believe either would be ok with my ls6 springs. looking for a fairly choppy idle.

The TR220 has a pretty choppy idle in a 5.3 and so does the 224, Would sound slightly choppier in a 4.8

Heres a vid of my 5.3 with the TR220 on a 112.. Around 50 secs is when it warms up and you can really hear the lope..

Something like this 215/ 223 .604 / .610 112 LSA would sound pretty nasty in a 4.8, Not sure it would perform the greatest. But who knows Ive seen some good size duration and lift in some 4.8s..

    LS6 springs aren't good for .560+ lift.

There are people that have done it, But I wouldnt chance it. You can pick up a set of PAC 2918s from about $125 shipped through scoggin dickey, good for .600 lift...
