i cant afford 2400 heads just yet. so the stocks will have to stay. i can have valves changed but how to do that? im doing the valve springs myself. so just drop the old one an replace with the new one? no changing valve seats or anything?

im going 4:10s an 3400 is the loosest i wanna go bc its meant for a DD also.
if i could find someone to buy my LTs/OR-y pipe for 400 id drop the dough on those costly ARH LTs. i just dont have 8k to throw in this truck right now, its getting done slowly. ill use what i got until i can afford to upgrade.

    cam swaps cost 800+ easy
    LTs 1200-1400
    gear swap 1000
    80E swap 1500-2500 easy
plus the purchase of the motor.

my fiance' is gonna kill me after i drop the 1k on the cam stuff.
anyone have a part number for the LS3 valves? are they the exact same as the L92s?

Better, but selling yourself short on the duration side.

373 isnt enough gear for even a stock truck rather alone a modded one...

hmmm i guess ill have to upgrade to the LS3 valves..i just didnt want to pull the heads like we was saying Tyler...400.00 extra lol. but looks like it'll be worth it.

cam/push rods/valve springs/LS3 valves/ARP head bolts will have to be done before the engine goes in.

hmm im curious what ill put down to the rear wheels...may need a new drive shaft

I spoke on the phone with other people on the phone tonight who are dealing with the same issue over the lifters...and each person has come up with a resounding, "I am gunna effing scrap those lifters." So...

Since a *recommended* lifter swap is gunna happen...and ARP head bolts are going on...and the valve springs are coming off...and LS3 valves would be really sweet... Catching on with where I am going??? You are? Good girl!

EDIT: GM lists the exhaust valves the same for L92 and LS3. The intake valves are P/N 12569427. They are ~$30 each. ~$30 x 8 = ~$240.00

well since you wont to stick with such a small stall and only 410s dont later complain on how the truck isnt living up to your expectations.

you dont need a 80e anytime soon, if someone is paying 1k for gear swap let me know cause i want in on that.

1400 for LTs unless they are kooks no way im paying that kind of cash for NA headers especially for a DD

if youre only going a 3400 stall then stick to a cam in the 220s

    man's cams need 4k stalls

well i honestly cant an wont DD a 4000 sorry.

ARH are 1200-1400 last time i checked

520 for gear kit from ron an 300-400 install plus i want the TA rear cover 100 or so

i dont think the 60E will live behind the 6.2 for very long so ill fix the issue before im broke on side of the road.

4:10s are good enough for me considering i DD the truck an its my family truck. if i recall someone running 12s with 3:73s with a NA 5.7 TXsilverado or something like that.

wow 240.00 JUS for valves well gotta pay to play

    250 valves
    800 cam/valve springs/pushrods
    110 ARP head bolts
    125 7000rpm lifters
will my L92 lifter trays work? or buy LS7 lifter trays 50.00

thats 1300+ already PLUS the 3k i bought the engine for.
my fiance' is gonna blow my truck up lol

good luck but you can save some money in the build if you need to. motive gears are 180 bucks new, GM head bolts were around 60 bucks last time ibought them, 60e is just fine if built right and treated right. many ppl have them, alot of ppl upgrade to 80e when they actually make power. 80e isnt needed unless you really start pushing over 500 near the 600 range.

this can all save you cash, also if youre staying with 410s you can find a set of factory gears or even factory rear end thats already setup

but its your money and good luck with the build.
