old setup was referring to the kit that was on truck. ive decided to get my camaro running for 2010 so i borrowed some of the items from truck to get car going....ie........motor, accesories, trans, turbo, intercooler, BOV, WG, fuel rails and the IC to TB tubing. Later in the year ill put truck back on road maybe NA for time being till i can figure on the new driveline and source of power.

But like said in previous post depending on what you need done i could possibly come out if that is needed.

    just curious...

your avatar has the regency shifter, so is the NV3500 the trans you're running with it? if so, i'd love to know how well it holds up. mine's getting a 5.3 (hopefully running this week, but we'll see). i'm thinking about adding a decent cam & maybe some other goodies later, but don't know how much the trans can take

It all depends on how you drive it, I dont beat my truck, so Im confident it will have a decent life without any major issues.

yeah. i don't plan on running at the track... more than a time or two
as for normal driving, i ain't too rough on it - just a few spirited drives here & there

Heres what I've found so far. Do you guys think the piston will be alright, or do I need to replace it?

    The Bad...

Looks like the piston was playing tag with a valve, explaining why its missing 3 pushrods.

The plastic casing around where the pushrods should have been is cracked.

The cam looks worn, but I want to replace that anyhow.

    The Good...
All springs and rockers look great and the valves on #7 look to be alright after smacking the piston.
