Yes, you can remove all of the emissions. But there are certain sensors that are just better off keeping. Trial and error, win some, loose some.

i really dont want to use the stock fuse block from the 03 tahoe, i want my 82 c10 to have a clean engine bay. but ill take your advice since youve done it already, ill get as much as i can. you started from scratch on the wire harness , how willl i get the truck harness and the engine harness to work together on the truck. sorry if your getting bored with the questions.

Naw man, I dont mind the questions........I will have plenty of my own.

The ECM just needs a power wire (orange), remote wire (pink) and a ground wire (black). The rest of the engine harness just relays data and signals to and from the brain. The fuses are for your accesories (lights, radio, wipers, rad fans, fuel pump and so on). I did fuse the power wire to the ECM too. Maybe not needed, but what the heck. So, in short, the fuse block will be totally seperate from the rest of the "Engine" harness. Hope this helps.

I guess I did not answer you question right.
Do you plan on using the stock gauges? If so, I am not sure how to adapt those to the newer senders. If you use aftermarket gauges, you can use new senders that are compatible with that gauge.

I cant answer your question about merging two different harnesses. But I am pretty sure the new ECM will not support the existing gauges.

    Sorry, not much help there.

I will search around too. I will go hrough this in the next few months on my '72. All I need to figure out, is the gauges. Everything else will be stand alone from the ECM and the harness.
