Last thing before I dig in. The book says nothing about torque specs for the bolts. So probably just snug for those. And it also says use thread lock on the bolts.
Any thoughts on that?

Tighten in sequence starting in the center working around in a circular pattern side to side.
1st pass 44 in/lbs
2nd pass 89 in/lbs
Going to pull it apart. Wish me some luck on this. Shouldn't need the luck much though.
Thanks for all the help.![]()

Yeah, removing the intake is pretty easy--the same for replacing the sensors. You should be fine...

Just two words. F**k Yeah! Its all back together and working. Getting the check engine reset tomorrow, hope it stays off. But the knock is there, I didn't think the sensors would fix that, its just worn out.
But I broke one thing.. the hose connector going to the heater core, just bypassed it for now. But no heat.
What happened was.. I was pulling off the full rail and my hand slipped off and of course hit one of the hoses breaking the connector clean off!![]()

Take the plastic off the hose and connect the rubber heater hose directly to the core. The only reason those thingies are on there is easy UAW assembly and water noise reduction.
That what I'll do. I got the connector off the pipe.. stupid 6 dollar tool that I bought for my fuel lines. Oh well had to buy the one with 5/8 puller. One for the fuel line had 3/16 and 3/8.. the puller for this has 3/8 5/8 and some others.
So just use the same clip that is on the hose now?
I'm trying to find a place to upload a sound clip of that knock I hear. Anyone want to hear it I could just email it.

Email it to me. I have nothing better to do...
I'd probably put a new clamp on the hose.
