Thread: Truck runs like crap need help troubleshooting

    The fact that this is happening after a minute or so...wouldn't this be a open/closed loop issue? Like the O2 sensors aren't sending the correct signal? Just a thought...

    You've got plenty of help here on the board so I'm sure we can figure it out pretty quick. How ong did the motor sit before the installation? Injectors have a tendency to stick from sitting long periods of time.

    But even after I get the diagnostic port hooked up what will I read it with?

    Very possible also, there's just too much without a good scan.

    A long while 2 months that I know of anyway how do you fix this?

    You'll have to borrow a scanner or buy a cheap one to read the codes. I've seen them for under $89.00 at AutoZone. They might even let you borrow one.

    You can clean them through the rail with a good 3m kit like I have or try tapping each one lightly.

    What you mean tapping them? Taking them out and tapping them or in the truck?

    You can try in the truck but be careful. I wouldn't pull them until you run a scan.
