Thread: Cant decide which wheels i want

Yeah thats my only drawback to any of the bigger wheels, is they weight a ton. My first thought was to put some 18's on to help with the weight gain, but 18" tires cost almost twice as much, so id rather get 20's and not spend so much on tires.

Id also put on a set of the 17" machined finish GMC wheels they started putting on the 05 models. Nice and clean.

Well, im still looking at different wheels, and i was looking at centerlines website again, at some of there overstock wheels, and none of them currently on overstock really speak to me, but i have always likes the Tracer wheels,

And im thinking of getting a set of 18x8 and running 285/50 tires. I like the 20's but once you get into the bigger wheels and tires they get heavy, and id like to stay as close to stock wheel and tire wieghts as i can, and the centerlines are strong and lite, even in the 20's i know. I called and got a price of 265 per wheel for the tracer in an 18x8 polished finish, another 100 for chrome.

Plus i want to keep the overall diameter around my stock height as well, and still have a decent sidewall so the ride quality isnt affected.

The JG wheels are very light. They dont weigh anymore than the factory wheels. if they do its not much. The ss wheels are kinda like boat anchors.

Oh, i heard the JGP wheels were heavier than the SS wheels. Not looking at weight, i think its down to the JGP wheels, or the above centerline wheels.

I like the Chrome Gibbs wheels. If that is one of your options.

Yeah def and option. I will most likley go with a set of the JGP wheels, and depending on the cost to get them chromed, ill have them done before they go on the truck, if its to much, they will go on as is and ill have them down down the road. Will probably end up running 295/45 tires as well, that way its close to my stock overall diameter.
