Thread: Muffler Options

I may take the easy route, buy a single in, single out 3 inch muffler and have the shop deal with the rest haha!

I ran a SI/SO 4" Diesel muffler on my HD. I made a reducer for the exhaust.

Good luck with that one...I have it on my 5.3 and can hardly hear myself think in the cab.

Not to hijack but anyone run something like http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-11259/ Just installed long tubes and a high flow cat. Had a 10 series flowmaster on and now its entirely too loud. Looking at the above part number hoping it still sounds good at WOT but cuts out the resonance at highway.

I would go with a magnaflow. I had a dynomax bullet on my truck, it was fun for a while but it's way to loud for a daily driver. Im 100% satisfied with my magnaflow.

One question, should I 'Y' after the cats or just pull the cats now and 'Y' it, run the magnaflow and call it a day?
