i was wondering tho...i need to change my trans cooler lines and fuel lines...any idea on how to hook up the steel braided lines to those fittings? i dont understand what keeps the line in place on the fitting.

I did my fuel lines so I can prob help you with part numbers...as for the trans lines...not a clue! First I got all my stuff through jegs, because summits "fitting" section is a mess. I replaced all my lines back when I had my old tbi setup so ordering the stuff was pretty easy, i remember it being -6an fittings and they described it as "TBI to -6AN" and so on. I will try to find my old invoice for the gas tank fittings, seems like it was 14 or 16mm

yea please help...i cust the fuel line and used a 2 clamps and rubber hose. its fine for the lines going into the fuel filter but the line for the filter into the intake is all messed up so i need to fix that. plus my trans cooler lines are bent to hell. i want to replace them with the steel braided hose.

My shift linkage is giving me hell too I believe...I have no gear indicator lights and it's not going into reverse

sounds like the park/neutral safety switch. that would explain the indicator light. as far as reverse gear im not sure. but i know if the back up lights dont turn on its also linked to the switch.

If I leave it sitting in reverse long enough it'll eventually go in reverse but it usually slips back out of reverse quickly

    MAJOR UPDATE!!!!

through some supreme negotiation and hard bargaining i was able to score an a/c kit for my truck off of ls1tech. i traded a jl audio 12inch W7 woofer for it. its a novak bracket. usually goes for about 600 bucks. i really didnt want to give up that sub but since im moving to nevada the air conditioning is far more important. plus this kit uses the compresor that comes in the 88-95 gm cars so finding lines and condensers and stuff shouldnt be too difficult.

so heres the pully set up before i started..

first step was to remove the tensioner and remove one of the bolts from the water pump

then i needed to drill it out and install the bolt that comes with the kit that will make the bol sit flush. countersink or something idk. but the kit came with the drill bit and the new bolt!

    before:

    after:

next i had to flip the tensioner around but the ridges on the back were hitting the pump and needed to be clearanced a little.

i also chanced the pulley to a smooth one. then installed the brackets and mounted the compressor.

installed the new serpentine belt tht also came with the kit.

this is a nice kit..def worth the trade i made. looks really clean on there as well. i finially figured out my wiring issue with the pns switch. i pulled both harnesss and combined them together into one complete harness. i need to shorten some wires and extend a few. ill clean it up and give it some power and hope for the best lol!
