So far I have replaced the crank sensor behind the starter with the original because the actual plug was different. Also I rewired the cam sensor to the rear. The supposed 07 has the knock sensors under the valley pan where as the original 08 has them on the lower block. I changed them out also. I know those wont not let it start but those are some of the differences. Would the reluctor wheel need to be replaced? Or do I need to replace the camshaft gear because those have different patterns for the sensor to read

You are using two different engines. One is gen3. One is gen4

The Gen3 engine uses a 24x crankshaft reluctor and uses a Black CKP sensor. The Gen4 engine uses a 58x crankshaft reluctor and uses a Gray CKP sensor. The 58x engine which uses an ECM (Engine Control) and a TCM (Transmission Control) cannot be run on an ECM (Engine and Trans Control) without the Lingenfelter box.

There was talk and there were a few but I don't think it happened. I looked on the site unless I'm overlooking it

Nowadays it's tuff to find a gen3 with low miles and I'm not sure anyone would take a step back.
