I make mount brackets that are not adapters, but are bolt on pieces. All of the adapters that have you bolt the SBC clamshell to an adapter plate make the cross bolt holes not line up with the mounts on the frame.
The brackets are made from 1/4" steel, and are made to put the back of the engine in the same location as the old SBC that came out. This lets you use your existing trans, and if you are building a 4WD truck, you don't have to mess with the driveline AT ALL. Stock and aftermarket manifolds/headers fit. I have even run a complete 99-07 Exhaust, from the heads to the tailpipe with minimal modification.
Works on 88-98 2WD and 4WD trucks. If you are upgrading from a V6, you need to install the mount cushions in the V8 location, there are holes in the frame already to do that.
I have personally run these on a 93 Sierra 2WD and 94 Z71 Silverado as daily drivers. One set has been in use for 4 years on a daily driver. The 94 Z71 has towed 9000# on these mounts, been off roading, and similar versions of these mounts have run 11's (4100#) in the 1/4 mile.
I sell these for $93/set shipped, including 8 M10 fasteners to attach them to the block.
PM me if interested.
