If its taken care of properly in the tune then you will have zero issues deleting it.

Is there a little less timing while cruising or something? I know thats normally when it comes into play is low rpm cruising. I had my egr codes deleted but didnt change the tune.

Just remove it and tune it out, I passed my emissions with LT's, tinted windows, a turbo, a cam, and a big nitrous plate on the front of my truck, and it passed with flying colors. The only thing the DMV guy said was that the truck sounds funny I simply smiled and turned the knob up and then proceeded to do a massive rolling smokey as I left the station .....And the only time that timing normally gets pulled is when the SES comes on for the motor ( ie: evap, knock, misfire..etc ) You should be fine as long as you have a good tuner that knows what he is doing

How did yall go about removing the physical pump? shorter belt or dummy pulley? I have a 99 sierra and getting ready to add LT's.

My apologies. I was referring to the smog/air pump.

Just remove the Smog Pump and get a new belt for a setup that does not have smog installed (00+ trucks).

Would anyone have some info on what emissions equipment are on the 99-02's? I live in southern California and am looking for a regular cab short bed in that year range. I am in love with the idea of during an LS3 swap. Thanks in advance everyone.
