i was going to ask someone to elaborate on why they prefer cable.. also i was going to ask if throttle response can be changes by tuning.. guess you answered that.. can abs and traction control and any other things im not using be removed from the ECU by tuning and then just depin them out of the harness and run without? im putting it in a K10 and wont need alot of stuff..

I think my major issues will be a pedal and the T Case... i think i can just get a pedal assembly and some wire connectors and wire that up... i have the TAC. also i will need an ODBII plug to wire in... thanks guys!

DBW is tunable. GM has it setup with some lag in the factory tunes, but the tuned trucks I've driven it's instant.

I don't believe ABS and traction control would be an issue, but just let your tuner know you won't be using it.

An older t-case should work. If it were me I'd go grab one out of a 90's 1-ton with a manual shifter. You could probably find an adapter kit for your original one from advance or novak if you wanted to keep it also.

Up to 91/92. Starting with IFS they'll be drivers drop. Sorry, didn't even think of that. I would watch out for the full-time cases if you end up with a 70's/80's one.

does anyone know if i will still need an adapter or if an older th400 would have the same spline and 6 bolt mounting of a 4l80e?
