I worked on this project off and on for a couple of years. I picked up a wrecked 2004 GTO and used everything possible from the donor car. Upgrades included an LS7 clutch and Shoenfeld headers. Exhaust even used the GTO mufflers and tips. I sold the GTO oil pan and used an fbody pan, tray, pickup tube, and dipstick. CAI was homemade from mostly parts I already had. Shifter doesn't hit the seat but its close, its a pro5.0 shifter with hurst stick. I also swapped the front springs to improve the ride and lower it back down.
Wiring was a challenge, but after the learning curve its not too bad. I added the aux back up lights and front bumper fog lights into the reused GTO fuse box. Also moved the original power center from the truck firewall to the GTO fusebox.
