i have the 5.3 and im very happy with the power and mileage it gets. the 6.2 wasnt in my price range. my sticker was 39k the 6.2 was more money and i wasnt interested in paying that much more.

if your looking to tow and haul the 6.2 is the better option, if you want to race the truck then buy a RCSB its much better platform. if you plan to use the truck to haul family or etc around and use it to pull occasionally then 5.3 will do its job

my 5.3 gets 16-17 in the city and 21-23 mpg here in PA using 93 octane

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

I also notice around a 2mpg increase with 93 octane. When the math comes out, its not worth 30 cents more a gallon for me. The power was much nicer though.

When I said 30 cents more a gallon, I guess I was referring to people who pay for gas. I get 87 free so in reality, 91 is 75$ more to fill up with. If I were to pay 75$ more for a tank of gas, something would be wrong with ME. lol.

But yes, I agree, in most situations, the 5-8$ more is worth it.

Leather in an LT package? I just looked at hundreds of trucks and didn't see that once. And that's a STEAL. 3500 less than I paid for my crew cab with cloth.

I called Henna Chevy here in Austin and all of their LT x cabs are leather with bucket seats and he said he did not have a 6.2 on the lot but could have me one in 2 days and quoted me 26500 for the 6.2 with leather...they are discounting trucks 5500 off right now..
