    ah, so my guess your truck is an awd was right, not sure why it came to me, probably cause we just replaced one.
    very common on your truck.

    sounds to me like a tcase is bad.
    i would just buy a new one from the dealer, $1200.

    of course keep troubleshooting, i could be wrong.

    oh ya, DO NOT put trans fluid in the tcase, use only dealer Autotrac fluid.

    might as well get you an 80e and 408 while you're at it

    408 is desired.. 80e is not.. my FLT lvl 5 + is still going strong

    I have heard these make noise just going over bumps. Just saying. Can you feel this in the steering wheel?

    Drain the fluid on the tcase to see what comes out of it. If it has chunks its time to get it repaired or replaced.

    no i dont feel it going over bumps. only under hard acceleration on roads where the wheels are slipping\spinning.. ie snow\ice, etc
