Lq4 with out a doubt. Lower miles on it and more cubes, newer. The 100lbs is not worth it to me..

WAYYY over priced... maby for engine and trans.. just engine and ecm and harness not worth that much.. i can get an engine out of anything from the local yard for 200-350.. so oviously its hard to find lq4 or ls1s there but 3k is what a brand new dropin goes for.. and used wiring isent gonna make up the difference.. plus they will prlly make you pull it.. deff shop somwhere else.. you can get Waay better deals..

Both would be i great investment and have the potential to make crazy power with the lq4 prob having a lil bit more potential being a iron block, and bigger cubes. I was going though the same dilemma on which motor to get, ended up getting a ls1 and dont regret it one bit... 3 grand seems way to steep to me tho i got my ls1 long block with 50k miles for $800

lq4 gets my vote also, more cubes, more potential, much more rebuildable. 100 lbs isn't worth it

I picked up my ls1 longblock for 600 with 80k. If I had found a lq4 for the same price I would have went with it instead. So my vote is for lq4 also
