noise levels are only important if you don't run the outlet past the body lines. When you dump the exhaust under the truck you're going to get obnoxious noise droning in the cab. Even with the STS, if I didn't run the pipe out from under the truck it was awful inside the cab. Once I ran the pipe out the back the tone of the truck changed completely. I bought a 4" magnaflow stainless exhuast to run it out the back of the truck on the passenger side similar to stock and it sounds great without a true muffler on the truck.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
Just get the biggest Magnaflow you can buy, either way with longtubes dont expect much though. Might also want to consider adding resonators to your setup as that WILL help with the raspiness
That sounds like a good idea, but with the bullet before the aerochamber will it be pretty quiet? Ive heard some people say their aerochambers are loud and then some say they are quiet
I think what Im going to do is a oval case magnaflow that is more on the loud size but has a good tone at WOT and I am going to have it exit before the rear tire. The last issue I have now is what size oval case length magnaflow to get and still have it be decently loud. Anyone have any suggestions on which size case?
Ya thats the exact one I was looking at. Do you think the 4X9 14in case magnaflow would still be raspy or what about the 5X11 14in case I think it is anyone have an idea how the 2 of those sound? Im leaning towards the 5X8 14in case magnaflow and maybe run the bullet before it to cut down on rasp
