And molitor youve got some balls to buy a motor with an intake manifold melted on top haha, i think me and you both should give it a couple of weeks and call the BBB,
Yep, 2004

i only paid 200 hundred dollars for the engine, so i'm not out much. I should have just saved my money and bought a stroker kit and a new 4.00'' bore block. but if this guy every gets this one finished i'll have what i want. my 4.8L is getting noisier all the time. it has one weak lifter that clacks constantly at almost any rpm above idle. and i have a whole new set of lifters, but i would rather swap engines instead of just pulling the heads and lifters

I don't have any squeaks at all, my serpentine system is super quiet. It does look like the idler and the tensioner were both replaced before I bought the truck though.

OH BOY. Here we go. Rule #1, don't pay for the job up front. I am sorry you are in this situation, but it is simply human nature. Once a person receives their end of the bargain, there is no motivation to finish the job or deal anymore.
I hope situation is better than it appears to be, but it looks like it is time you start getting very aggressive with this guy. There is no excuse for this job to take more than a few days, he just isn't doing it. I would call him daily, document your calls and if that doesnt resolve it quickly, take him to small claims.
OK, enough negative.
WELCOME to the board. Happy Modding and looking forward to better customer service.
