What can I expect from going from a 75mm factory ported TB and factory 3 bolt 75MM intake to the 90mm stock trailblazer TB and LS2 intake on a slightly mod'd 5.3L? Will my low end be compromised for upper rpm power with the ls2 intake? I dyno'd at 303 rwhp and 307 rwtq before my last tune. I think that I might be a little above that however I am trying to move a Z-71 crew cab.

i just recently switched intake manifolds. had stock manilfod, ported throttle body, it was 75mm. I ordered a 2010 silverado intake complete, with fuel rails, injectors, which i do belive are bigger. it came with 90mm throttle body, 4 bolt style. it was brand new never bolted to a motor, came with all new bolts also. after the tune, tuner said that he had to add alot of fuel at WOT, i could deffinetly tell a differnce in power and throttle repsonse. intake looks ugly still, i would rather had a ls2 intake, but it works and im happy with it. also youll need a X-link adapter which runs a lil over $200

I had upgraded my injectors to the 31 lb with the last tune. Had the trans beefed up and added a small stall. It should be ready today around lunch. Planning to go to the track tonite to see where I am now as far as ET and mph in the 1/4. Still plan to try the 90mm setup on my 5.3. Later on, might switch to a 6.0 but for now i'm sticking with the 5.3. What does the x-link adapter do and where is it installed?

well the plugs are different from a 78mm tb to a 90 tb...one is a 6 pin and the other is a 8 pin...the harness adapts the stock 78 tb harness to the 90mm harness so it basically just makes it a plug n play type deal...minus a couple small adjustments in the tune
    2006 silverado SS....Clifford Jr...turbo coming soon
    1970 Chevelle ly6 swap....d1 coming soon

It's not just the plug being different. The TPS sensor protocol is different between the 03-07 classic TB and the LS2/ GMT900 TB and LS3 TB. The xlink converts the signal to something the 2003 TAC can understand.
You probably already know this, but just making it clear for everyone else.

My truck being a 2001 with DBW however didn't need the xlink. I just spliced on the correct plug for the 90mm TB. The 2 extra wires are redundant 5v+ and low reference, the new TB doesn't need them. I did my intake swap last night. Throttle is working perfectly, now I need to do some tuning, it is idling like crap.
