Update:
Motor is in, then out, then in. The TD plates had put the motor an inch to 1.5 inches forward. makes it a big problem when you have a split driveshaft. So we pulled it back out, and put another set of plates in it that kept it in the same place. fits much nicer and everything looks nice.
the 06 harness has been modded and spliced into the 97 fuse box and truck wiring. looking really stock. few loose ends and it will be done.
hole in the bed for the fuel cell and fuel system is under the truck but not installed...maybe tomorrow
MAF sensor, starter, 02 sensors, and mufflers(on backorder) all on their way
Maybe next weekend some heat in the pipes and the cops showin up for a noise complete.

Hey man, glad to here that you got the motor in. What plates did you end up using. Do you have any pics of the motor in the truck?
its in and it runs and wow is it loud! only if it was legal to be that loud...o wait, there will be cutouts with a "loud" switch. i will post some pics and vids as soon as can find the good camera...not the phone.
