99+ 60e that came behing a 4.8/5.3 will be fine, flex fuel won't hurt, in fact you get bigger injectors and if it has the same square fuel rails the newer e85 motors have they flow about as good as any aftermarket rail

Sweet. Ya, I knew about the bigger injectors which is good except I probably wont need them since all I plan to do is headers and a mild (TR220) cam. And I think it has round fuel rails but Ill check later.

99-07 classic 60E's are the exact same. the 07-08NNBS trannys are the same also minus some inside parts.
flex fuel is good like said..bigger injector which means better cam choice
i wish i would have gotten a steal like that on my motor damn good deal man. change the tb to a dbc from a 99-02 intake or find you one already p&p. if you wanna upgrade then you could snag a NNBS intake an a dbc 90mm tb an have a strong top end

ya I'm not sure if I'm gonna change the TB or not. There are pros and cons to both. With dbc I have better response and don't have to fiddle with changing the damn pedal. But with dbw cruise control will be just a couple wire hookup and I won't have to mess with findin a tb cable that works.

Picked up the motor today. It looks good except the water pump and ps pump pulleys are bad/warped/bent. It came with everything except the TAC module/pedal assy. They said they would sell me the pedal out of the donor vehicle for $100. I noticed the head casting is 862.....is that good, bad, or neither?

Alright. Which stock head casting is desirable?

243 and 799 are the best flowing but the 862s are good heads too.

    thanks.

Does anyone know if that's a good price for the tac module?
Or should I just switch to dbc and why?

Every site I have read points to DBW being the better choice. Most choose DBC for ease of install. TPIS did a dyno on a stock 90mm DBW vs a stock 90mm DBC and the DBW flowed better and made a little more power. If you have a DBW harness, you should run DBW.
