x link is an interface module that allows you to put a 90 mm ls2, l76, l92 etc throttle body on your older dbw engine and still get 100 % opening. from what i understand, you will only get like 85% opening without it. now with that said, when i was going over my parts list with john at speartech for the camaro harness he advised i used a vette tac module instead of a truck module so i would get 100% throttle opening on my l76 intake. just wondering if this stands true on the trucks as well?????

Ive been debating on stickin some l92s on my 370 as well, id use the vic jr for the heads with a fast 4 barrel 1375cfm tb as thats what i have now with a polished up vic jr. I know a 408 fbody with l92s has the same cam i have running 10.80s na, so i figure my cam should do alright with these heads. the only thing i dont like is the 70cc chambers. my 243s are milled .030 so id prolly mill them same to keep my pushrods the same length, thats if theyll even work, havent researched them a whole lot yet.

you could mill them .015 with a .040 gasket. i wouldnt mill them to much as the decks are already thin. but i wouldnt know your cr unless its calculated out.

i will replace my stock 6.0 with a 408 in due time but i'll use the heads and just have another cam spected out for it.

what heads did you have on before? compression would be 10.7 milling them .015. right now im about 11.8 according to United Engine and Machine Co.

i had the 706 patriot stage 2 heads which put the cr over 12. when patrick g spected my cam he mentioned the cr being 11:1 with the ported l92 ( ls3 ) heads, 11:8 isnt bad if you ask me, i was still able to run 93 on the 12:5 cr, this info came from richard if not mistaken i talked to him before i put the 5.3 heads on.

what gasket size did you calculate that at?
