Are you wanting it to appear almost stock driving down the road or with the hood open or both?? I haven't changed anything appearance related on mine and even had the stock tailpipe put back on. The only thing you can hear is the rumble of the exhaust when it idles like it has flows or something. People don't find out the rest until it's too late!!

I am about to change a little bit just to try and instigate a few more runs....

Mill those 243's or get 706's of a 5.3 get it up around 11:1, a cam with a fairly wide LSA (Like 114) a nice quiet exhaust with a cutout added and just to make sure you don't bring a knife to a gunfight a nice shot of the good stuff.
Wow, Devin actually made a worthwhile post!

VERY nice list. Take that list, run stock height suspension, stock wheels, stock muffler and tail pipe, and stock engine cover. Then go munch on some Corvettes.

well yea, i was wanting to appear stock. like with the stock suspension and everything. as well with under the hood. as a matter of fact iv been just thinking of 6.0 with the 243 heads, h-pipe with some delta flows and a locker in the rearend. i had some deltaflows on my 5.3 and everyone thought it was a 4.3. and of course a tune.
    02 rcsb 5.3, h-pipe/flows, 3.42 posi, tune by trt. best 9.5 1/8 @ 76mph before tune and poor traction

Now im at a 9.2 and still bad take off.

    O'rly?

    People mistook a V8 for a V6?
    They sound completely different.
8 guns firing into a barrell sound nothing like 6.

i would get the 4.8 just to have the extra power while driving it till you got the 6.0 built

edit: and im with tyler on the build up of the motor. that would be sweet if you could stand to leave the truck alone. most can't so not lowering it or whatever might be a challenge. i know it would be for me.

Y are you dead set on the h pipe? Just get long tubes and an off road y pipe and then get a quiet muffler. I have those and a 50 series 3 chamber flowmaster. Its real quite until you open it up.
