    Vss

i know that the 03 4l60 use a 40 tooth ring for the sensor, what is the pulse rate of the 08 4l60, i hooked my speedometer up like i did with the early tran, it reads all crazy, so i guess it is a different pulse. thank you

not exactly sure because there are two pulse sensors in a newer 60e, one on the input drum shaft and the other on the output. I'm sure its probably a count of both pulses added together if there isn't a second pickup point

The input sensor on the newer 60 is mostly just for component slipping diagnostics. They still all read VSS off the back one only.

i did find out the vss is still the same pulse, as th 03 , but when looking at the wiring in the helms manual, it shows the veh speed signal as wire 817 at the instrument cluster which is dark green/white, which is the correct color, but out of the ecm it shows the vehicle speed signal as 1827 which is a yellow/black wire, that is the only wire that I have, and it makes the speedometer go crazy, it pegs out then goes to zero, if you put the truck in reverse, it starts running miles on the speedometer like your doing 100 miles a hour, guess i might need to get a adj drac and see if changing the setting will make a differece. just shooting in the dark now, really have no clue as to what to do. will let you know if get it right
