An LS1/T-56 combo would be sweet on that thing--what tranny do you have now--is it a 4L60e or NV3500 manual?

    It has edlebrock shortie headers and airaid intake.. It's actually a 305 vortec with a NV3500..

    That's pretty much the reason I was thinking of the LS1 swap..

    Well Hell yeah that's a good enough reason! GM should have never made that POS 305. Never in it's lifespan did the 305 make any kinds of decent power. And the LS1/T-56 swap shouldn't be too tough. Of course you will run into a few situations where you might have to get creative with some duct tape---but you'll get it!

    Welcome to the site, nice work on the truck! And yes I agree, a LS1/T-56 would be a good project! I'd like to do the same swap in mine.
