Yeah, that is a muffler like what is used on an F-body (Camaro/Firebird). It is a good one to use for your particular setup.
An LQ4 came on most 3/4 ton trucks, vans, etc. There were a few 1/2 tons that had a 6.0L, but they were the higher compression LQ9 version--but the 1500HD had the regular LQ4.
