Ok...wait--people are telling you not to mess with it because it is a stock truck... That has absolutely no relevance at all. That is the stupidest reason for it. I mean, if you had an all original 69 ZL1 Camaro and you wanted to make engine mods to it, I would say no because it is stock and you shouldn't touch it for value's sake--and the fact that a ZL1 doesn't need mods anyway. But you have a Chevy truck...its not like they only made 13 of them or somethin... Go out and mod it if you want to--don't listen to those clowns!

I did all the minor mods I have in a month's time because I got the bug. I had to stop when my wallet screamed for help but....

People like me generally don't like stuff modified but it works so much better it's all worth it. Mine's electric throttle so the tune was the biggest difference but by far the best bang for my buck was the TransGo 2-4 servo pistons.

Have fun! Don't forget that part!

How hard is the shifting with that kit?

It's not really a shift kit (which usually has more to do with all shifts by making mods to the transmission valve body). It's not severe at all.....especially if you tell your tuner you will be doing it to a daily driver. The tuner can keep the trans pressures a little lower if you don't want your teeth rattled.

Most people make the mistake of having their tune set to have firmer than stock tranny line pressures to make it shift a little firmer. Then they go off and get a shift kit--which firms the shifts mechaincally versus electronically through the PCM. And once it slams their head to the back of the headrest or they break an input, they then finally realize what they've done and have the tune fixed. With any kind of shift kit for a 4L60e, you should have all tranny shift pressures set to stock. Let the shift kit do the work of firming shifts. You can also have about 80% of the torque management removed and still be in the safe zone.

    True that.

That's what I have. No AM and 25% TM with barely more than stock (for a big pig like mine it's OK to move up some) pressure and just a simple TransGo piston kit for the 2-4 servo.
