6.0 swaps aren't that hard. There's motor plates for sale on ebay. get a complete 6.0 if you can, with the harness

why are more people doing the 80e over the t-56, is it more of a direct swap
Who likes shifting gears and clutching for an hour while in stop and go traffic every day? Give me an automatic any day. For the cost of a good clutch you can get an automatic rebuilt.

i do, but 80e would be cheaper and easier find
looks nice...
the truck above looks like it will be badass once you get everything done....
Little advice if you are planning on swapping carpet out: you can go to the grocery store and get some RIT DYE and dye your carpet black or tan as well as the fabric on your doors, i had it done in my camaro, and it came out badass. But then again i am a tightwad, and did not wanna pay for new carpet after i put black leather seats and headliner in...

I'm swapping a 5.3 into my '93 Silverado. Got the engine with tranny, harness, pcm, radiator, and electric fans. Got it all mounted and fires up great. Two issues I'm having though:
1) Transmission linkage seems to be a pain in the @$$. Any tips on this. I know I have to make some bends, but nothing I seem to do is getting me anywhere.
2) VSS. I need to tie in the VSS signal from the new 4L60E to the old PCM for ABS functionality. Anyone have pinouts for this?
Also, considering wiring up cruise control. Can I tie the old switch into the 5.3's PCM to make this work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
