spoke with mike at Texas-speed about my plans and what all i have done to my truck...

He begged me not to go with a 224 cam for my daily driving 4.8L because of lack of power from bottom end and that i wouldnt be satisfied...... so it looks like i'll be going with a 220 cam with 112lsa...kinda bummed out a little since everyone and there momma who has a 4.8L/5.3L has that cam...

Everyone has a different threshold for what they are willing to put up with as a DD.

I'm been talking to a couple mill shops i recently acquired a set of "706" heads off a 5.3L H.O.

So i'm thinking about port and polishing the heads and adding ls6 valves..and seeing what difference that will make for me...

    you'll like it n/a

i liked my 408 better than my turbo setup. something about that instant snap of power just feels better. what cam did you decideon? mine was too big i believe 242'ish i think on a 115lsa. power was a beast after 3600 rpm thouogh. however, it was still a bitch on the tires from a stop. uncontrollable traction issues.
