EPS cams are great. But the wait for one, god damn. I have one, relatively small it's only a 222/226 .598 111LSA. But my "5.3" is a screamer. It just put down 446/401 on motor. Safe to say it was fairly high reading dyno though.

A vendor has recommended a tsp 228r to keep mid range torque due to currently having a 3k stall

The 228 will have higher peak power than your current cam, but it will have a more narrow power curve. If you are looking for a good roll racing cam then the 228 isn't the answer IMO. Honestly the 228 is one of the last cams I would recommend to anyone unless they are driving a M6 fbody. Honestly if you want to be stronger on the highway you should probably look to a much larger cam or spray it. If you keep your current cam and spend your money on a nitrous kit you will be 10x faster than any cam you can choose. The cam you have currently is my favorite cam for a 5.7/6.0 truck.

Yes however you mentioned having a 226/230 cam. Which is IMO a much better can for your build than the 228.

The 224/230 cam went with the 5.3 in exchange for the LS1. So im all stock right now.
