    4.8 to 6.0 swap

I have a 2006 1500 shortbed 2wd. It currently has a 4.8 and i want to build a 6.0 to put in it. Will the current wiring harness work on the 6.0? Also would i be able to order a computer or send mine in to be programmed or would i have to get a new computer? Sorry if these seem like simple questions i am just getting my feet wet with the LS stuff.

    Thanks
    Chuck

yes it will work and you can use just about everything off your 4.8 on to the 6.0, i cant remember but you might not have to do anything to the pcm, or if anything you may need to have the vehicle anti theft system turned off. Call up nelson performance they can help you out. 210-626-0278

    vin N code is LQ9.

also, get a newer 6.0L if you come across a good deal, it's hard to find low mileage Gen3 engines; just keep in mind with a few parts the Gen4 will work.

I am not wanting huge hp right now. Would like to do a valve job on the heads and stick a cam in it and come up with 500 hp. Is that an attainable goal?
