    walbro going bad??

Anybody had a walbro go out after 2 months? Well I think mine is going out. After its started and driving about 5 minutes the pump will start to whine and it will act like its running out of gas. Sometimes it will die and will take 1-2 minutes to stop whining and work correctly

Have you replaced the filter? I know we discussed this before. Filter issues and what not. It may be sucking up trash and getting clogged.

Possibly debris bypassed the filter? What about the voltage to the pump? What's the voltage look like? Hell it's possible that it's a bad pump, you just don't hear of many Walbro failures that soon.

I'm not sure about the voltage. Its worked fine until now? Ill check it tomorrow and if its fine I have no idea what's going on. If its a bad pump I wonder if they will warranty it? Prolly not

I'm just using the sock filter and a regular inline filter too. It whined before but not near as bad. I can't hear the truck running at idle over the pump.

man that must be loud.you might want to call walbro or where ever you bought it. i did when i was having problems, they walked me through some steps and they sent me a new pump. not sure if you have a intank or inline pump you think you might have a ground issue just a guess.

i bought my pump from summit also. give them a call they will send you a new one. they took care of me, probaly because i bought lots of stuff in the past. check if you have a good ground, good voltage, filter, reg, fuel line in the tank, get a fuel pressure gauge on the rail to see how much fp you have, wonder how much it has when it starts missing.
