Anyone ever have to run a piston like this? Both number 4 and 7 have a scar. Looks like motor was a victim of valve float by a previous owner. There is no cracking on the underside and it isnt all that deep. Opinions?

had several pistons that looked liked that (not quite that bad) on the ls1 longblock i purchased..it wont hurt nothin or at least it hasnt on mine so far

Already taken off. And the shine on picture makes it look alot deeper than it really is. It isnt even a 16th deep at the worst point. And If no one posts up a great reason not to run em Im throwing em back in. Keep the opinions coming

Could you lightly heat it to see if any cracks do open up? I don't know, I am asking. I know you don't want to deform the dang thing.
