2002 Sierra SLE 1500 modding suggestion.

Hello guys I own a 4.8 2002 sierra and I planing in entering it in the drag in a couple of months.I'm hopping to get it to 9-10 seconds.
Current Mods:Summit Racing air intake kit.
Dual custom exhaust system with a flowmaster cat.
    Custom long tube headers.
    Transgo shift kit for 4L60E.part # 26-4L60E-HD2 .
    Corvette servos.
    Custom Basic tune.

I'm planing to change the engine into an 5.7 LS1 soon.

Any other suggestion would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

I really hope you mean 1/8 mile. My truck runs low 10's in the eighth and I'm trying for 9's. It's stock except for the exhaust and tune (which could use work, I'm still learning), but it's got a man pedal so I can launch it pretty hard. Oh ya it's a 4.3 with 3.23 gears.

Nothing wrong with 1/4 at all, but expecting to run 9s or 10's with a bolt on 4.8 is, well, rediculous. You'll do 15's at best. I'm not going to start into ways to get you in the 10's in detail but, 700+ horsepower, the drivetrain to handle it and a very well setup suspension. And it all has to work together perfectly. These are heavy brick shaped trucks, not C6's

Well I saw the same truck as mine in the drag it brought 9 man but the engine has been swapped with a 6.2 ,he couldn't have done it without Nitrous Oxide right?

okay... swap yours to a 6.2.... install a 300 shot and a 4l80e. 4 link and 9" rear with 21.5 wide slicks.... and you might wanna wear a helmet...
