    TR220 what lobe separation you running

    I know the TR220 is a killer cam for the 5.3 what lobe separation are you guys running on this cam ?

    I run a 114 in my 4.8 i like it alot

    02 Fully forged Iron Ls1 233/239 595/603 112lsa,
    milled, ported& polished heads,
    K&N CAI, shorty headers,
    off road x-pipe, Pypes M-80s dumped,
    TCI 3600 stall ,TransGo shift kit,
    True Trac w/3:73s, 4/6 drop,
    and a Fast LSXRT 102

    i ran a 112 on mine....

    this is my old cam... i have the 228 now

    No converter with that in a 4.8 ? hows your low end ?

    Soon to be running the TR220-112. I wound up choosing 112 to let my heavy Tahoe keep its low end (hopefully) and keep the powerband lower for my daily driver.

    not too bad but not great without a stall it is lacking

    114... no difference you can feel between it and 112 on low end. they got graph of tr224 with 112, 114, and 116... not but like width of dyno line difference

    220 on a 5.3 is not a overkill. its the perfect cam...

    I run a split duration cam, 218/224 .605/.595 lifts and 111lsa, no noticeable lose of bottom end, but I have 4.10s and a 3K stall mid range is fun to drive in! But the top end gain is the best part! The rush of ripping past ppl at 6500rpms is tight! Also the idle sounds nasty
